Von Lyon zog er aus religiösen Motiven nach Genf und starb dort 1572, und hinterliess sein Geschäft in Lyon dem Neffen Barthelemy. Sposò prima Sybille Molle e poi Françoise Bochet, ed ebbe tre figlie: Philiberte, Marthe, Madeleine. Da Lione si trasferì a Ginevra per motivi religiosi e vi morì nel 1572, lasciando in eredità la sua bottega di Lione al nipote Barthélemy.
